  • Shri. R K Dhasmana Former Executive Director and Basin Manager KG Basin, ONGC
A petroleum geologist by education and practice All aspects of oil & gas exploration including business opportunity evaluation & geological geophysical interpretation with expertise in prospect evaluation.(with 38 years of experience)
  • Shri. Sidhartha Sur Former Executive Director and Ex Head Institute of Reservoir Studies, ONGC.
A Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad in 1980, Mr. Sur has around thirty-three years of experience in different aspects of development of heavy and light oil fields in India and abroad. He was instrumental in placing ONGC and India in particular on the world map of EOR through successful application of in situ combustion process.
  • Shri Ghana Gogoi Former Executive Director Oil India Ltd.
He is a Mechanical Engineer with vast experience in all areas of drilling operation. He keeps passion and shows excellence in Well Engineering and design, especially well barrier issues as dictated by latest regulations and JITFs (Joint industry Task Force) Shri Gogoi is also a Certified Petroleum Manager and associated with the Dibrugarh University. With almost 33 years of experience in onshore drilling operation both in country and abroad.
  • Shri. Praveen Jaiman Former Head: Graduate Trainee Group ONGC.
Praveen Jaiman holds experience of more than 34 years in production where he works on onshore and off shore both.
Former GM (Production) (Production) with over 34 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry in both onshore and offshore. Proven expertise in Offshore Installation, Insitu Combustion, Heavy Oil Recovery, human resources management, development of Heera Process Complex renovation plan.
  • Shri. Basudeb Sarkar Former Chief GM (Production) ONGC
Basudeb Sarkar has a experience of oil and gas upstream industry for more than 35 years. Worked in Offshore platform as shift engineer/ shift incharge, R&D Institute, Onshore installation as Location Manager, Process Engineer carrying out design and engineering of onshore and offshore installation and worked as Engineering Manager of 3 major offshore and onshore installations.
  • Shri. Arun Dutta Former Chief Engineer (Production) ONGC
Experienced Chief Engineer (Production) with over 34 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Proven expertise in workover rig operations, technical data analysis, sick well analysis and restoration, casing damage identification and repair, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, proactive problem-solving, gas processing plant operations, and associate consulting. Recognized for achievements in enhancing productivity, optimizing processes, and contributing to comprehensive project documentation. Highly analytical mindset, dedicated, adaptable, and skilled in troubleshooting operational challenges.

Experienced Geomechanical engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the oil & energy industry. Strong business development professional with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD focused in Petroleum Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Expertise in geomechanical modelling, wellbore stability assessment, reservoir geomechanics, rock mechanics, hydraulic fracturing optimization.
  • Dr. Rajesh R Nair (Professor) Petroleum Engineering Programme, Department of Ocean Engineering IIT Madras
Dr. Rajesh R Nair Professor at IIT Madras with expertise in Geomechanics, Geophysics and Rock Physics and Ph.D. from National Geophysical Research Institute, India. He has over 18 years of extensive experience in the upstream petroleum program. Strong industry collaboration in geomechanical studies, provided technical support to drilling operations and developed innovative strategies to mitigate subsurface risks.
  • Dr. Vamegh Rasouli Professor & HOD, Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering, University of Wyoming, United States of America.
Dr. Rasouli was the Department Chair and Continental Resources Distinguished Professor at the Department of Petroleum Engineering, University of North Dakota, USA. He served as the head of Department of Petroleum Eng of Curtin University in Western Australia prior to his move to the States. Dr. Rasouli has been a consulting Engineer to Schlumberger in the past and is now serving as an instructor for their NExT (Network of Excellence in Training) program, delivering industry short courses worldwide in different subjects including Petroleum Geomechanics, Drilling Eng, Hydraulic Fracturing, Pore pressure estimation and Sand Control.
  • Dr. M. Thenmozhi Professor & HOD, Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras
M. Thenmozhi is Professor and Head of  the Department of Management Studies of Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai with more than 32 years of academic experience.  She has also been the Director of National Institute of Securities Markets, Mumbai. Prior to joining IIT Madras, she was working as a Faculty in the Management Division of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Anna University, Chennai.
  • Dr. SSV Ramakumar Director (R&D) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited
Dr. SSV Ramakumar is Director (R&D) and (Planning & Business Development), and on the Board of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.- a Fortune 500 company. Dr. Ramakumar has more than three decades of consecutive experience in the downstream hydrocarbons sector, notably in the areas of lubricant technology, refinery process research, and catalyst development. He has been instrumental in the development of India’s home-grown OEM-approved marine lubricant technology, which has catapulted Indian Oil’s SERVO lubes into the select league of top five MNCs.
  • Dr. R K Malhotra Former Chairman and Director (R&D) IOCL
Mechanical Engineer degree from IIT, BHU ; Ph.D. (Energy Studies) from IIT, Delhi with over 45 years of experience. Presently Professor of Practice (adjunct) at IIT Delhi. Chairman at Sarv Energy Solutions private limited. President of Hydrogen Association of India. Former Director General at Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry from 1st Sept. 2015 to December 2021. Former Chairman and Director R&D at Indian oil corporation, the largest commercial enterprise of India where spent 37 years
  • Dr. Manivannan P. V., Associate Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras
Dr.P.V.Manivannan received his Masters in Engineering with specialisation in Applied Electronics from the College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, India and Ph.D in Control System for Engines from IIT Madras. He has worked with Visteon Power train Control Systems India Pvt. Ltd, Chennai and Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, USA on special leave. His teaching and research interests include Mechatronics, Robotics, Sensor Network, Automotive Control System, and Industrial Automation
  • Dr. K. Srinivas Reddy, Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras
Dr. K. SRINIVAS REDDY obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in Energy Studies in 1999. He then joined National Institute of Technology Warangal in June 1999, after a brief service of about 4 years at NITW, he joined IIT Madras in April 2003 as an Assistant Professor. Presently, Dr. Reddy is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras and he is also an honorary professor at University of Exeter, UK. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at CEERI-CSIR, Chennai during 2014-17.
  • Dr. V. Raghavan, Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras
Dr. V. Raghavan received his PhD from I.I.T. Madras in 2004. He worked as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and Research Assistant Professor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln for around three years from Oct 2004 to June 2007 before joining IIT Madras.
His research interest includes droplet evaporation and combustion, laminar flames and CFD applied to combustion. He works on transient two-phase numerical modeling of isolated droplet vaporization and combustion, detailed chemical kinetics studies on homogeneous and heterogeneous flames and simulations of non-reactive and reactive particle laden flows.
  • Dr. Hari Vuthaluru, Associate Professor WA School of Mines: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering, Curtin University, Australia
Hari Vuthaluru completed his PhD from University of Newcastle on the pre-treatment of coal for remediation of ash related problems in power utilities. Prior to commencing the research work in Australia, he completed both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in India and gained invaluable experience in several roles in Engineers India Ltd, Delhi, India. He is currently an Associate Professor and worked as Course Coordinator for 14 years for all graduate programs in the Department of Chemical Engineering. For the last 30 years, Vuthaluru has made extensive contributions in the area of coal and biomass combustion research at national and international levels.
  • Shri. MV Ravi Someswarudu Former Executive Director (O&M-CO) GAIL (India) Limited
Someswarudu is a post-graduate in Chemical Engineering along with MBA in Marketing specialization. He is also a Certified Energy Auditor. He has rich and diverse experience encompassing more than 34 years in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors covering diverse functions like project development, operations and maintenance, technical services, process design and engineering, design of pipelines & Gas processing plants, technology selection and research and development.
He has also served in the exploration and production, petrochemical group at GAIL Corporate Office and also held additional charge of the Project Development Department.
  • Shri. T.N.K Bapiraju CGM - Technical Services, Crude Refining CPCL
He has had a decade-long Experienced in IndianOil’s petrochemicals business right from the drawing board stage. He is among the select technocrats in the Indian oil & gas industry who are proficient in all facets of refinery-petrochemicals integration, desirable for the sustainability of the oil & gas industry in the long-term.
  • Dr. R. David Koilpillai, Qualcomm Institute Chair Professor Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras
David R. Koilpillai received the B.Tech. degree from IIT Madras, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, all in electrical engineering.,In 2002, he joined the Electrical Engineering (EE) Faculty of IIT Madras. He is currently the Qualcomm Institute Chair Professor in EE and Dean (Planning). During 2008 to 2009, he served as the Co-Chair of the IITM Special Task Force for setting up the new IIT at Hyderabad. He also served as the Head of the Central Electronics Centre, IITM, from 2010 to 2011.
  • Dr. Chandra Shekar L Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Madras
Dr. Chandra shekar Lakshminarayanan received the B.Tech. degree from National Institute of Technology Trichy, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Science, Currently he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Madras. Prior to joining IIT Madras, He was Assistant Professor at IIT Palakkad for a period of 3 years (Aug 2018 - Aug 2021). In the past, He was a research scientist at Google-DeepMind (London), and a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alberta.
  • Dr. Minou Rabiei Associate Professor, Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering, University of Wyoming, United States of America
Dr. Minou Rabiei received the BSc degree from Mining Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and the MSc degree Advanced Information Technology, London South Bank University, London, England and Ph.D. degrees from the Applied Statistics-Reservoir Engineering, Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia.
She is currently working on data analytics and machine learning tools and techniques, applied in various disciplines related to the energy industry. Where her primary focus on predictive analytics, risk management, process optimization and decision making for energy related regulatory compliance issues.
  • Dr. Kalyanaraman Venugopal Associate Research Scientist, Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering, University of Wyoming, United States of America.
Dr. Kalyanaraman Venugopal received the BSc degree from Engineering-Electrical & Electronics, Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India, and the MS degree in Mathematics, Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India, Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, and, Data Analytics, University of Houston, and Ph.D. degrees in Petroleum Engineering-Unconventional Resources, University of North Dakota.
