Program Description

This course will start with need for energy storage technologies and take us to various technologies available for storage of reliable renewable power in the form of Electrochemical Storage, Battery Storage, Thermal Energy Storage, Compressed Air Energy Storage, Liquid Air Energy Storage, Pumped Hydro Storage, Mechanical Storage. The course will provide a comprehensive understanding of battery technology and its sizing calculations. Further, the course will highlight on green energy storage technology and its future outlook in India and the world.

Course Objectives

  • Impart knowledge on various types of energy storage technologies such as Electrochemical Storage, Battery Storage, Thermal Energy Storage, Compressed Air Energy Storage, Liquid Air Energy Storage, Pumped Hydro Storage, Mechanical Storage.
  • Illustrate the concept of battery energy technologies, parameter evaluation and sizing calculations.
  • Understand the concept of green hydrogen power generation, storage and delivery and its national and international scenario.
